The honest
teardown.

You've got a strong story — veteran-founded, three real service lines, a distinctive brand mark. The site built on GoDaddy isn't carrying any of it yet. Here's exactly what we found, page by page.

The one-line version

The company underneath this site is genuinely strong — veteran founders, real equipment, three distinct service lines, a striking brass-and-black badge mark. None of that reaches the site. It's a stock GoDaddy template in default gray, with almost no content depth and effectively zero search visibility.

Brand Execution

Site-wide
Issue

The logo's brand isn't used anywhere else

Your logo is a striking black-and-brass badge mark — but the live site runs GoDaddy's default theme color (#6F6F6F, medium gray), Montserrat/Playfair Display/Source Sans Pro default fonts, and no black or gold applied to any section, button, or background.

Fix: Pull the real logo palette through the whole site — nav, buttons, section backgrounds — so it reads as one brand instead of a logo dropped into a template.

Verified: theme-color meta = #6F6F6F; no brand hex found in the page's loaded font/style declarations.

Issue

Zero real photography or video on the live site

Across home, services, about, and marketplace, the only image we could find was the logo file itself. No drone footage, no field shots, no team photos — for a visual, aerial business, that's the single biggest miss.

Fix: Even a small library of real flight photos/video would out-perform stock — but until that exists, purpose-built stock aerial footage (clearly framed as placeholder) beats an empty page.

Content Depth

Home / Services / About
Issue

Three service lines, one thin page

Ag spraying, aerial photography/video, and mapping/inspection are three genuinely different buyers with different decision criteria — but they're compressed into a single services page with no dedicated detail, process, or equipment info per line.

Fix: Give each service its own page: what it is, the equipment used, the process, and a service-specific CTA.

Issue

Marketplace page is a dead end

The Marketplace nav item leads to a "Coming Soon" page with no products, pricing, or timeline — taking up a primary nav slot for a page that currently converts nothing.

Fix: Pull it from primary nav until it's live; a waitlist capture would still get value from the traffic in the meantime.

Verified: gorgedrones.com/marketplace reads "Gorge Drones Marketplace Is Coming Soon."

Lead Capture

Contact page
Working

There is a working contact form

Name, email, and a message field submit successfully — the basic mechanism is there.

Issue

The form doesn't qualify the lead

No service selector, no property location, no acreage/size field, and no phone number listed anywhere on the site. Every inbound lead currently requires a manual back-and-forth just to find out what they need.

Fix: Add service type, location, and job-size fields so a quote can be scoped from the first message — and publish a phone number if the business wants to take calls.

Search / SEO

Live Semrush data
Issue

The site is effectively invisible to Google

gorgedrones.com ranks for only 3 organic keywords nationally, with an estimated Semrush domain rank around 25 million and 0 estimated monthly organic traffic. There's real demand to capture — "drone mapping services" (880/mo), "drone real estate photography" (720/mo), "drone inspection services" (590/mo), and "agricultural drone services" (390/mo) all have meaningful national search volume with low-to-moderate competition.

Fix: Build the three service pages as real, keyword-structured content, then layer in a Google Business Profile and local citations for Stevenson/Hood River/The Dalles terms — see the full plan.

We didn't just diagnose it — we rebuilt it.
