Gorge Drones is operated by JShults Enterprises LLC out of Stevenson, Washington, and grew out of decades of military aviation experience applied to a very different kind of flying: precision work over farms, vineyards, and job sites across the Columbia River Gorge.
The Gorge's terrain — steep hillsides, tight orchard rows, shifting wind — rewards pilots who've flown in demanding conditions before. That's the whole premise of the company.
20+ years in aviation, including 200+ combat sorties as an Air Force helicopter pilot and active-duty service managing military training programs in Afghanistan. Trained as a Group 2 & 3 UAS instructor with Boeing/Insitu, and leads daily flight operations.
A highly decorated USAF Flight Engineer and current Master Sergeant with the 129th Rescue Squadron, with multiple combat search-and-rescue deployments. Provides operational oversight and handles community engagement across the Gorge.
We fly the Gorge the way we flew everywhere else — deliberately.
